Oh man, it’s been a stressful week. I had a wonderful weekend away in Wales (The Wye Valley, more on that to come) and was feeling oh so relaxed, then I came back to an insanely busy and stressful few days both in and out of the office. Just before I went away however, I was approached by Domu, who asked me to create a slow cooker recipe for their new Slow Cooker Recipe Hub. This prompted me to take my slow cooker with me to Wales and I made a couple of different things, a more standard 3 bean chilli and then the recipe I opted to share with them, Pumpkin Jam. Yeah, OK, I’ve probably overdone it on the pumpkin this year (the pancakes aren’t even up yet…).

So I’ve been blogging for two years. TWO WHOLE YEARS. That’s kinda crazy when you think about it. I don’t know where the time has gone. I remember setting up my domain and doing my first few posts, taking photos with my iphone as I didn’t have a suitable camera. Things have improved since then. Both from a writing point of you and visual point of view. I’ve met some pretty awesome people through my blog, and I’m also fairly certain it’s helped me with my career (check out an interview I had on that very subject across at PrettyGreenTea).

NEW HOUSE GIVEAWAY

WE HAVE SOMEWHERE TO LIVE. As of Tuesday we will be residents in Clapham. Near Clapham South station to be exact. And to celebrate I am going to do a whole heap of baking. That’s right. Loads of it. All the time. I am also setting up a new food blog with some London based pals to start blogging about the restaurants we visit regularly.

First Birthday Giveaway

Well, I’m not quite sure how it’s happened, but the blog has officially turned one. That’s a whole lot of cake (or biscuits, or brownies) and even more peanut butter. The beard has varied in length over the last year or so. But it’s here to stay (despite my ahem, witty, April fools).
