We are well into the few days of summer the UK gets each year. It’s been sweltering, so I know that people probably aren’t going to be inside reading my rambles. As my last post, an open letter about just how good the London food scene is, was pretty lengthy and as my next is going to be something just as long about our trip to Budapest, I thought it’d be a good time to crack out a nice short post on a simple summer recipe. So here’s a quick and easy recipe for Iced Earl Grey Tea with Mint and Lemon. So for those that follow me on instagram or twitter, you’ll have noticed that I’ve been up in Scotland once again at my parent’s house over Christmas. I’ll be covering that and posting in more detail once I return, as I’ve still a few days left. In fact, right now I’m sat waiting (with my fingers crossed that their ferries won’t be cancelled due to storms. Edit: they made it!) for friends to arrive for New Years Celebrations. The sun’s out, that means it is basically Summer, right? This means that it’s finally time to start thinking about refreshing cool drinks. I personally drink a ridiculous amount of water. I find that if I don’t have 4+ pints in a day I get headaches and my skin dries out. I’m one of those people that’s fortunate enough to absolutely love the taste of water (I know people that hate it, to the point where they just will not drink it) but even I sometimes get bored of it. Fortunately there are a number of great ways to flavour up your drinking water without using cordial or without having to shell out for anything fancy.
