I love cheese. A lot of you know I’ve dabbled a lot with vegetarianism lately and that’s been going pretty well. Cheese is the main thing that stops me going the whole hog and properly attempting being vegan though. But enough of that, today I made the greatest Mac N Cheese of my life. I mean even better than the Mac N Cheese Pizza Pie. It was full of flavour, rich in colour and 100% completely winged. Most of my mac n cheese meals are but this one I took it a bit further. Throwing in a number of extras but using less types of cheese than I usually do. Read more

Nutella Cinnamon Buns
How do you make an early morning trip to IKEA better? You leave cinnamon buns proving overnight in the fridge and wake up early to bake them, then pour some frosting over them and stuff them into your face. We even managed to get to IKEA for it opening and were the first customers through the check out. The story of assembling the items is a whole other problem though, but at least I’ve not got somewhere to hang my clothes. Back to nutella cinnamon buns though, as they’re far better than furniture. Blackberry Cheesecake Brownies
I realised earlier that I’ve only done one recipe post in the whole of 2016, and hey, that’s just not on. I’ve talked about adventuring, looked back at what 2015 had to offer when it came to eating, baking and music, but I’ve only done one measly recipe post. I mean it was a pretty great recipe, and you should go and check it out if you haven’t already, but to say I’ve baked a few bits I should have blogged more. In my own defense I had no internet, and then I moved house. So both of those things combined have made for a turbulent and not necessarily productive few weeks. I’ve packed my life into boxes again, unpacked a chunk of it, done some DIY, unpacked more of it, and in amongst that still been baking. The kitchen stuff was of course first priority and not just for me. My new housemate has a taste for cake and I’m pretty sure it’s the main reason he’s let me move into his spare room.
Isle of Mull – New Years 2015
If you saw my photo diary of Christmas on the Isle of Mull you’ll know I spent the entire festive period on the island. After my parent’s left my friends came up to visit and we spent a few days walking, drinking and eating. Below are a few snaps I took, with the odd one taken by my friends (mainly the group shots). I’m going up again in March, and you can see previous posts about Scotland and the island here, but for now, enjoy my photos from New Years. As ever, more photos are available on my flickr:

Chai Latte Loaf Cake
It’s all been a bit quiet on the recipe front this last month. Having no internet at home hasn’t really helped with this. I’ve been doing a lot of cooking and slightly less baking. But I moved back up to Walthamstow this week so I’ve got internet back now. I’m going to try and make up for my lack of food posts with my next Top 3 In London (Pizza this time), and a bunch of spring friendly recipes. I want to “master” bread this year as I never make enough of it. However this month I’ve made a couple of new bits and pieces. Including this Chai Latter Loaf.
